    DESCRIPTION
    The invention relates to a bracket for fixing tubes or the like, which bracket is provided with a base and with two wings which extend upwards from the base and are spaced apart from each other, whose boundary faces facing each other have a curved course, the wings defining an opening open at the top, each opening being formed for receiving and holding a tube or the like therein. Such brackets, as described, for example, in DE 44 35 177 A1 and DE 29 51 7271 U1, have been used for many years, in particular for fixing plastic pipes through which electrical leads are passed.
    DE 44 35 177 A1 describes a bracket with a bottom with a flat bottom and two upright side walls extending perpendicularly thereto with a flat outside. In the inside of the U-shaped block thus formed, a circular recess is provided between the legs, which opens into an open top. In the side walls of the block, recesses extend from the respective outer sides in the direction of the interior of the block for receiving a coupling slider with which two such blocks can be coupled to each other.
    A problem that occurs with the use of such brackets is that if tubes extending parallel to each other are supported by brackets placed next to and against each other, the center-to-center distance between the tubes is in many cases greater than the center-to-center distance between sockets or the like. openings to which the tubes are to be connected, so that the connection of the tubes to sockets or similar difficulties may result.
    A bracket is known from US 2005/0077436, with the aid of which a number of tubes, pipes or the like extending parallel to each other can be fixed.
    However, the number of conduits in a group parallel to each other can vary considerably and it will not be economical to manufacture and stock brackets suitable for fixing such a group of conduits for each possible group of conduits.
    The object of the invention is to obtain a bracket with the aid of which the drawbacks of the state of the art can be met in a simple manner.
    According to the invention this can be achieved in that wings extending upwardly from the base of the bracket are provided on their sides remote from the said opening in the relevant bracket with a curved course boundary surfaces such that in the case of two brackets arranged next to each other adjacent boundary faces of the two adjacent brackets, remote from the openings in the respective brackets, define a further opening open at the top suitable for receiving a tube or the like.
    DE 699892 discloses a U-shaped pipe clamping part with a bottom with a mounting opening and two straight upright legs. The legs have a ribbed profile on the inside. In order to be able to clamp a pipe in the clamp, an upper part is provided which must be arranged at the top of the opening between the legs for closing the opening. The outer walls of the upper part also have a ribbed profile, so that the upper part can be snapped into the U-shaped pipe clamp to clamp the pipe. A recess or protrusion is provided on the two outer surfaces of the respective legs with which two pipe clamps can be coupled to each other. Furthermore, from DE 699896 a pipe clamping part is known with the shape of an (inverted) T. The T-shaped pipe part comprises an upstanding leg which is provided with a ribbed profile on both sides. At the bottom, a "half" bottom extends on either side, with a "half" mounting opening. A recess extends to the front from the mounting opening and a protrusion to the rear of the bottom. By connecting two T-shaped pipe clamping parts to each other, a pipe can be inserted between them which can be clampedly fixed by means of an upper part. Because an upper part is needed to clamp a pipe and because the recess, the protrusion and the fixing opening in the bottom coincide, this is an extremely complex construction.
    When using the bracket according to the invention, three pipes or the like can be supported at a suitable distance from one another using two brackets.
    The wings bounding the openings in a bracket are preferably provided on their sides remote from the opening with the aforementioned boundary surfaces, so that a compact and sturdy construction of the bracket can be realized.
    By providing the bracket at both ends of the base with coupling members for coupling the bracket with a bracket arranged next to it, a firm connection between the group of tubes or the like supported brackets can be achieved.
    The invention will be explained in more detail below with reference to an embodiment of a bracket according to the invention shown in the accompanying figures.
    Figure 1 shows a view of two spaced-apart brackets.
    Figure 2 shows a view of two brackets coupled to each other.
    Figures 3 and 4 show in perspective three tubes supported by two brackets coupled to each other.
    A bracket 1 comprises a base 2. Wings 3 and 4 extending upward from the base 2 form a whole with the base 2. The two bases 3 and 4 define an opening 5 which is open at its top. The boundary wall 6 of the opening forms, as is generally customary for such brackets, a part of a hole or opening 5 which is circular in cross-section, but it will be clear that, depending on the objects to be supported by the bracket, the wall 6 is also another cross section.
    On their sides remote from the aperture 5, the two wings 3 and 4 have a boundary surfaces 7 and 8 respectively corresponding to the curved course of the boundary wall 6, which curves are opposite to the curved course of the wall 6 or, with in other words, the centers of curvature of the boundary surfaces 7 and 8 lie on the sides of the respective wings 3 and 4 remote from the opening 5.
    If, as shown in Fig. 2, two brackets 1 are placed against each other with the ends of their bases 2, the adjacent boundary surfaces 7 and 8 of the wings 3 and 4 of the two brackets placed against each other define a bracket corresponding to the openings 5. opening 9 for receiving a tube or the like.
    As is shown in figures 3 and 4, such a combination of two side-by-side brackets 1 is suitable for receiving three tubes 10 or the like running parallel to each other. As is furthermore particularly apparent from Figs. 3 and 4, the bracket 1 is provided on one end of the base 2 with dovetail-shaped grooves 11 corresponding to dovetail-shaped projections 12. Provided by dovetail-shaped projections 12 of sliding a bracket 1 into the dovetail-shaped recesses 11 of an adjacent bracket 1, a firm connection can be obtained between the juxtaposed, multiple tubes 10 or similar supporting brackets 1.
    It will be clear that also more than two brackets 1 can be coupled to each other in the above-described manner for supporting more than three tubes or the like.
    By using the construction according to the invention, a universal bracket is thus obtained, wherein by combining such brackets with each other any number of lines running parallel to each other can be supported while maintaining an equal, desired small center distance between the tubes or the like.
    Of course, the brackets can be attached to a wall or such supporting surface in the usual manner for such brackets.
